This exercise covers two topics, word problems and function
graphs. Word problems are problems that require the test taker to
translate the problem into algebraic symbols and then solve.
SAT problems using functions and graphs could include topics like
parabolas, lines, and the quadratic equation.
Since you can use a calculator on the SAT, it is a good idea to
have a graphing calculator to plot equations with. Make sure you
understand how to use the graphing feature of you calculator before
the test.
