You’ve got enough stress to deal with just studying for the SAT: Don’t heap on any more than you have to!
First, register to take the SAT with plenty of time so there’s no question of finding a spot available. If you have any doubt about where the test is administered, take a trip to your actual test location a few days before your scheduled time to make sure you know where it is.
The night before your test, lay out everything you’ll need: Pencil, backup pencil, erasers, ID, calculator (check the batteries!), and anything else you were planning on bringing. A few hours before you’re scheduled to start, have a nutritious but light meal like some tea, a banana, and some toast*. This primes your brain with sugars and will actually make it work better.
When you sit down in the testing room, take a few deep breaths, clear your head of any worries, and remind yourself that you’ve prepared as well as you can, and that you’re GOING to survive the SAT!
