SAT math problems encourage silly errors—usually by encouraging you to overlook what the question is actually asking for. Don’t fall into the trap of giving an answer in the wrong units, or giving the number of boys in a class when the question asked for the number of girls, or similar “dumb mistakes”. And, oh yes, questions will provide wrong answers that are also steps along the way to the RIGHT answer, which makes it easy for you to pick the wrong answer simply because it’s the number you came up with first.
An easy way to make sure you don’t get tricked is to simply reread the question one last time BEFORE you answer the question. Then make sure your “answer” is actually the right answer to that question.
