Sad fact: On SAT reading comprehension questions, there is too little time, and too many words, to read through the passage carefully and thoroughly. So the way you should read the passages in SAT reading comprehension questions is to read the passage carefully ONLY up to the point that you understand the main idea and basic organization of the passage. Then skim through the rest of the passage, and get as quickly as possible to the questions.
Read the questions most thoroughly, and use a process of elimination to find the correct answer or the group of answers you’re going to guess among.
